Captain’s Club 2017
Captain’s Club 2017
Membership within the Captain’s Club is a prestigious honour attained by Riders and Champions who have acquired a total of $1,000 and up in pledges. They play a very special role within the Ride together in the fight against prostate cancer.
Once a member acquires a total of at least $1,000 in pledges they enter the Club at the Bronze level. Members then have the opportunity to work their way up to Silver, Gold, three levels of Diamond and finally into the Platinum level of over $100,000.
These pledges are tracked year over year and from Ride to Ride and the funds raised are cumulative.
For Captain’s Club Members
Numbers have been tallied for 2017 and the lists are posted.? A quick review of the 2017 Captain’s Club list has revealed some amazing statistics. For the third straight? year we welcomed movement into the prestigious Platinum Level of over $100,000 raised and for the first time ever we had two members enter in the same year.?? Congratulations to Tony Kusiak and Gary Bernard? both of Winnipeg, Manitoba.?? They? are joined by 213 members who also moved up a level and another 336 who entered the Captain’s Club for the first time. Our Captain’s Club now has over 3,558 members!
New List this Year
This year we have added an exciting new list.? Some of our members had pointed out that with the large spreads between levels, especially at the higher levels, that riders can bring in substantial amounts of donations without being celebrated nationally because the amounts they brought in were just short of triggering a level change. So we have created a list of the amounts brought in for 2017 only.?? Tony Kusiak tops this list with an amazing? $23,710.00 brought to the cause for 2017 !
Last year we re-launched our Roadside newsletter. This is a news update that will be shared throughout the year, highlighting news relevant to Captain’s Club members. This year we are planning to make the newsletter available electronically and contact you by e-mail.
The Captain’s Club data is updated annually and we are constantly working to create the most accurate lists possible for you. ?Again this year we are posting two main versions of the entire list. ?One ranks the members by levels and a second version with the members names listed alphabetically.? ?Within those lists we have used a colour-coded system to indicate new members (green) and (blue) for those members that have moved up a level or more.?? In addition to being recorded in the master list, we have posted members in additional lists for the new or upgraded ATV, Snowmobile and Watercraft Rides.
When entering the Club, you are issued a Captains Club Number, please take note of your CC number and use it whenever you are registering pledges.? Keep it handy as it will be soon be your passport to special savings in our on-line store and access to a unique line of Captain’s Club items. ?Be sure to check it out at RideForDadstore.ca

About the Captain’s Club
The Captains’ Club is designed to acknowledge and recognize those riders who consistently participate in TELUS Ride For Dad events and raise pledges. The Captain’s Club database tracks the participant year over year and from ride location to ride location, capturing a cumulative total of funds raised; award packages are based on that total. The awards package consists of a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Diamond(s), Platinum(s) pin, patch and decal.
The level of recognition is based on the amount of accumulated funds raised:
|TRIPLE PLATINUM||$500,000 and over|
